Who we are

In the Austin area there are over two hundred volunteers involved in the TNRF movement. The volunteers range from trappers, spay/neuter transporters, post-surgery (spay/neuter) recovery caretakers, tamers, vets and feeders. In most cases the feeder pays for all the food themselves.

The Feral Food Bank is attempting to help out these volunteers by providing them with food resources. Some of these volunteers feed 50 + cats per day, which can get very costly. We will happily take donations in the form of food, but that means we must provide transportation and storage - pest-free and temperature controlled. By creating a monetary "Feral Food Bank" we can help provide either food or a resource for food that the feeder can utilise when needed. The individual feeder can then store the food at home, rather than FFB maintaining a costly central location. We hope to help subsidize the needs of the TNRF feeder volunteers, that are providing a very vital service for these abandoned cats, enabling them to live out their usually short lives in a relatively humane manner.
